This licence allows you to fly a light aircraft, solo or with friends and to add instrument ratings later. This licence is the equivalent of a driver’s licence, but a bit more rigorous. If you are an aspiring commercial pilot, I recommend the PPL licence is the licence to train for. Having a PPL is one of the minimum requirements needed before commencing CPL (Commercial Pilots Licence) training. A minimum of 3 hours’ flight instruction, including 10 dual take-offs and landings, and 10 supervised solo take-offs and landings
A skills test
